The next almost 3 years

The riding school we moved to was huge. It took us quite some time to get used to the size of the place. Whisper settled in ok. He was quite spooky and so he earned the nickname Whispooky or Whisperpoopoo or poo poo for short. Yup I know not the best nicknames. The last one is due to the fact that he would literally poop when he got stressed. A weird noise? There he goes. A leaf moved wrong? Up went his tail. I mentioned before he was challenging. Well we had severally full blown gallops in the massive arena. I really don't know how Sophia managed to stay on each time but she did. Thank God.

The trainers there began to work him. One of the trainers explained to me that Whisper was very dangerous and that he is not good for a kid but that he would work with him and we would see how it would go. So for two months Sophia did not ride Whisper as he was in training. After two months the trainer worked with Sophia and he taught her how to ride him and she and Whisper improved a great deal. We owe a lot to this trainer. He taught both my girls many valuable skills when it comes to horse care and riding. I myself learnt a lot and had the opertunity to teach beginner riders the basics.

Under the trainer's care both girls and myself developed as riders. They were riding several different horses a day and jumping quite a few times a week. They even had a chance to experience show jumping competitions, where they both did well. Elina managed to get several clear rounds. Sophia with Ermi unfortunately did not but each time they competed they made progress and had fun and that's all that really matters. Ah yes. Ermi. His story is for another time.

Unfortunately our trainer left the country/riding school and another replaced him. Shortly after that and due to a number of reasons, one being economic, we left that riding school and moved again. Again it was very painful. We left behind a lot of horses that we love.
